How many restrooms do I need?
There are multiple factors that take part in accurately determining the number of restrooms needed for an event. Two of the most important factors include how many guests attending and the hours of expected use. A combination of other factors also play a roll in the number of restrooms needed including: will there be alcohol? Food served? More women than men attending?
OSHA guidelines for construction require one restroom to every ten people working a 40 hour week.

How much does it cost to rent a portable restroom?
There are again a few factors to consider that can affect the total porta potty rental price. Whether you need the rental long or short term. The frequency of restrooms selected. And where the event will be located. Consider your audience, will they feel more comfortable with flushable toilet? A flushable toilet will cost more than the non-flushable standard toilet. Another important factor to consider is the value and service quality of the product and company.
Weekend event portable restrooms are typically delivered on a Friday and picked up on Monday. Expect a surcharge for Saturday or Sunday deliveries. Keep in mind local laws and regulations, for public events you may need to rent ADA compliant restrooms. The standards that have been outlined by the Americans with Disabilities Act state that for single user portable toilets clustered at a single location, at least 5% but no less than one toilet unit shall be installed at each cluster. If you are on a construction jobsite you will need to follow OSHA’s restroom requirements for the number of toilets needed on-site.

How far in advance do I need to reserve a portable restroom?
During peak times of the year we often sell out of our portable restrooms. To ensure we can service you it is best to make your reservation as far in advance as possible. At a minimum it is best to place your order for portable restroom service at least 48 hours in advance. For large special events or job sites, a week or more lead time is advisable. For urgent needs we are often able to deliver toilets the same day for an extra delivery charge.

Will the portable restroom(s) be clean when they arrive?
Yes! Our portable restrooms are thoroughly cleaned every time we service them or pick them up. Your portable restroom will be delivered freshly cleaned, sanitized and fully stocked ready for your use.
Can I rent a portable restroom(s) for just one day?
Yes! Our portable restrooms are great for weekend events, or even a one day event. It is always best to call at least two days prior to your event to ensure proper delivery times of your portable restroom.

Where does the waste go after it is pumped?
Butler's Portable Restrooms is environmentally focused. Therefore, all of our products used to clean, sanitize and service our restrooms along with all the waste collected are easily processed at a local waste water facilities.

What is the frequency of service on my portable restroom(s)?
Our portable restrooms are serviced based of customer request. We encourage weekly cleanings as this allows us to keep the restrooms clean, sanitized and fully stocked. The price of our portable toilet rental vary depending on the frequency of servicing selected. Per customer request, we can and will provide service more frequently.

What happens if my portable restroom gets tipped over?
In the event of a tip over, contact our offices as soon as possible to report the incident. We will dispatch a driver to come to the site and assess the situation. Depending on the severity, the portable restroom and contamination site will be cleaned, sanitized and the restroom will be restocked. In the event that the portable restroom will require more, a replacement portable restroom will be delivered.

Where can you place my portable restroom(s)?
We will place your portable restrooms at your event or on your job site per your instruction. We will make every reasonable attempt to accommodate your wishes as to placement of the portable restroom. However, we will relocate the unit or notify you if it becomes necessary so that is readily accessible for servicing. This ensures that our trucks, employees and equipment are not in danger or at risk.
What are the guidelines for the ADA portable restroom(s)?
Butler's Portable Restrooms offers portable restrooms that are ADA compliant for use on a construction sites, commercial areas, or special events. Our ADA units are large enough and obtain the proper elements to meet and exceed the standards that have been outlined by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Specifically, the statute states that for single user portable toilets clustered at a single location, at least 5% but no less than one toilet unit shall be installed at each cluster whenever typical inaccessible units are provided. Accessible units shall also be identified by the International Symbol of Accessibility. The exception is that if portable toilet units are used exclusively by construction personnel who to not require the use of an ADA unit, you are not required to comply with this statute. How do you cut down on the odors and germs within a portable restroom?
Butler's Portable Restrooms not only pumps out the holding tank and cleans the inner bowl of the unit but also provides meticulous janitorial service both inside and out. Our employees clean, disinfect and sanitize the portable restrooms at each service including a full scrub down of the unit. We also provide a special detergent in the water, which acts not only as a sanitizer but deodorizer as well to keep the unit smelling great while reducing exposure to germs.

Am I required to have a portable restroom on my job site?
Most city ordinances specifically spell out the requirement of a portable restroom on a construction site and inspectors will require that a portable restroom is ordered and either placed on site or on its way before approving the inspection. In addition, OSHA requires a portable toilet on a construction site under the Safety and Health Regulations for Construction (1923.51 (c) (1), 1926.51 (c) (3), (I), (ii), (iii), (iv) ). How do you keep the water from freezing in the tanks in colder temperatures?
Butler's Portable Restrooms uses a hot flakes deicer that is safe for the environment and customers. Butler's Portable Restrooms does not use anit-freeze in any of our portable restrooms for environmental purposes.
