How many restrooms do I need?

There are multiple factors that take part in accurately determining the number of restrooms needed for an event. Two of the most important factors include how many guests attending and the hours of expected use. A combination of other factors also play a roll in the number of restrooms needed including: will there be alcohol? Food served? More women than men attending?

OSHA guidelines for construction require one restroom to every ten people working a 40 hour week.

You can call our specialists for a free consultation and recommendation on the number of units needed for your event or refer to the chart below for a basic guideline.

How much does it cost to rent a portable restroom?

There are again a few factors to consider that can affect the total porta potty rental price. Whether you need the rental long or short term. The frequency of restrooms selected. And where the event will be located. Consider your audience, will they feel more comfortable with flushable toilet?  A flushable toilet will cost more than the non-flushable standard toilet. Another important factor to consider is the value and service quality of the product and company.

Weekend event portable restrooms are typically delivered on a Friday and picked up on Monday. Expect a surcharge for Saturday or Sunday deliveries. Keep in mind local laws and regulations, for public events you may need to rent ADA compliant restrooms. The standards that have been outlined by the Americans with Disabilities Act state that for single user portable toilets clustered at a single location, at least 5% but no less than one toilet unit shall be installed at each cluster.  If you are on a construction jobsite you will need to follow OSHA’s restroom requirements for the number of toilets needed on-site.
